On February 15th, the OCS Titan Band traveled to Universal Orlando to participate in a sound design workshop.

Students performed the music you hear in the background, learned about the art of Foley (using unconventional items to create sound effects in movies), and voiced all the characters in the clip!

Classes
​
Wind Ensemble
This ensemble is for students with three or more years of playing experience. Students with less than three years of experience may audition to be placed into this ensemble. Students in this class may participate in marching band. Students are required to rent/provide their own instrument as well as pay the Band Fair Share Fee.
Symphonic Band
This ensemble is for students with two or more years of playing experience. Students with less than two years of experience may audition to be placed into this ensemble. Students in this class may participate in marching band. Students are required to rent/provide their own instrument as well as pay the Band Fair Share Fee.
Concert Band
Our Concert Band serves as an intermediary step between Beginning Band and Symphonic Band. Students in this class may participate in marching band. Students are required to rent/provide their own instrument as well as pay the Band Fair Share Fee.
Jazz Band (zero period)

Beginning Band
This class is ideal for students with little to no experience with band instruments. Students are required to rent their own instruments to participate in the class.
Color Guard/Eurythmics
This course is for high school students only. This course requires after school rehearsals throughout the entire year in order to perform at our full potential. Students are required to purchase specific gloves and shoes for the course as well as pay the Band Fair Share Fee.
