My name is Brittany Scardino and I was raised right here in Brevard County! Upon graduation from high school, I attended the University of North Florida and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Physical Education. After college, I moved to Palm Beach County where I stayed for the next 6 years, teaching Physical Education and coaching basketball. In addition, I was also the Athletic Director, responsible for initiating and building the Athletic Program from the ground-up. During this time, I also earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University- Portland.

 

Throughout my life I played a wide variety of competitive sports; you could say it’s in my blood! Along with Varsity Basketball and Golf, I also played AAU Basketball, State Cup Soccer, AJGA (American Junior Golf Association) Golf, and Rugby. Without a doubt, my passion and participation in sports has made me who I am today. Not only was I taught integral life skills, I also developed lifelong friendships, and have carried my healthy lifestyle into adulthood.

 

While winning is one of our top priorities here at Odyssey, our primary focus is the “student” in “student-athlete.” We recognize and believe in the direct correlation between being a successful student-athlete and being a positive citizen who effectively contributes to society. Some of the many tools and life skills learned through the participation in athletics includes teamwork, commitment, respect, discipline, hard work, perseverance, sportsmanship, and responsibility. It is imperative that we uphold our student- athletes to the highest of standards, as they are the positive role models who represent our school family. The display of exemplary behavior on and off the court, as well as high academic rigor that challenges our students’ minds is an expectation. I look forward to watching and being a part of the growth and success of our Athletic Program!
